Who these terms are between

These terms are between Revolearn and the parent, guardian or adult student who books lessons. Where the student is under 18, the parent or guardian is our customer and is responsible for payment.

What we provide

One-to-one online tutoring in Maths, English and Science at GCSE and A-Level, taught by a tutor who specialises in that subject and teaches to the student's exam board. Lessons are typically one hour, on video, and are arranged at times agreed with you. We do not provide in-person or group lessons.

We will teach carefully and honestly, and we will tell you what we think a student needs. We cannot promise a particular grade or result, because that depends on the student, their school and their own work.

Booking lessons

• Tell us the subject, level, exam board and what your child is finding difficult
• The first conversation is free and carries no obligation
• We agree the rate, the tutor and the lesson times before lessons begin
• A lesson is booked once we have both confirmed the time

Prices and payment

Lessons start from £25 per hour for GCSE and £30 per hour for A-Level, charged per subject. The exact rate is agreed with you before any lesson is booked and will not change during an agreed block of lessons without your agreement. Current rates are on our pricing page.

How and when you pay is agreed with you before lessons start, and confirmed in writing. If payment is overdue we may pause lessons until it is settled, and we will always tell you before we do.

Cancelling or moving a lesson

• The notice needed to cancel or move a lesson without charge is agreed with you before lessons start, so it is clear from the outset
• A lesson cancelled with less notice than that, or missed without notice, may be charged in full
• If a tutor has to cancel, the lesson is rearranged at no cost, or refunded if it has already been paid for
• You can stop lessons at any time. There is no minimum number of lessons and no notice period

Changing tutor

If the match is not right, tell us and we will arrange an alternative tutor where we can. It helps everyone to say so early rather than to continue with lessons that are not working.

During lessons

• Please make sure the student is ready to start on time, with a device, a connection and their materials
• Lessons run for the time booked; a late start does not extend the lesson
• We expect courtesy in both directions. We may end a lesson, and in serious cases stop lessons altogether, if a student or an adult behaves abusively towards a tutor

Materials

Worksheets, notes and plans we produce are for the student's own use, and remain ours. Please do not share or sell them. Exam board past papers and mark schemes belong to the boards that publish them.

If something goes wrong

Tell us as soon as you can, by message to 07949 348441 or email to revolearnuk@gmail.com. We will look into it and reply. Where we have got something wrong, we will put it right, which may mean rearranging a lesson or refunding it.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Other than that, our liability is limited to the fees you have paid for the lessons affected. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. The terms that apply to your lessons are the ones published when you booked them. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
